This is the most famous steamboat of all time, winner of the Great Steamboat Race from New
Orleans to Saint Louis against the NATCHEZ in 1870. She was built at New Albany, Indiana in
1866. She was huge, ornate, colorful. Details include cross section, boiler and engine details,
lettering, railings, sash, doors, railings, drapery, and lettering. Hull lines were taken from
the shipyard daybook offsets.
